The 7 minute difference

If you're like me, you're super busy. My day starts with the alarm clock going off at 5:30 and I am in "Go! Go! Go!" mode for the rest of the day.  Between work, traffic, playing with the kids, then doing stuff around the house I'm lucky if I'm in bed by 11:00.  Sometimes I'm so busy doing the things I have to do, I feel like I can't ever find the time to do the things I want to do.

Come Play Wif Me

On of the best things about being a father of younger children is that I always have someone to play with.  The moment I walk in the door after work I'm greated with a squel, or a laugh, or a "Come play wif me, Daddy".  I always try to make it a point to immediately acknowledge the kids (and Kristi) as soon as I get home, and I always try to make sure I'm not on the phone when I walk in the door (a little trick I picked up from Jon Acuff) .

Welcome to Gradual Transformation!

After a couple of years of mulling around the idea of starting my own personal blog, I finally decided to do it.  I figured that with the new year coming around, it was as good a time as any to get the ball rolling.  This isn't my first leap into the blogosphere, I've actually had my own technical blog up and running for several years now. I'm a programmer during the day (and a good portion of the night, sometimes), so I try to keep that blog on track with things going on in the tech industry and my career.  But lately, every time I want to write about something it seems to be of a more personal nature and not really anything that my geeky tech friends would want to read, at least not on a programming blog anyway.
